Anyone running old machinery that had DOS drivers would likely have older computers. I remember working on base seeing 386/486s in an aircraft hanger area that were so covered in grime I was astounded they were still used.

No one forces you to use MS products, a MS OS VM or C#. So it's not 'necessary', it's a choice you're making.

You should tell them and your managers. For every 1/2 day you sit watching the machine, they could be getting double the workload out of you. As a consultant and contractor this is the first thing I point out. However, it's their

You're a developer, not an end user. You use a slow machine for testing, not building. This is like saying my fucking carpenter shouldn't use power saws. Maybe you should have gotten a better machine then. If by a few years ago yo

Lmao 5200rpm drive. Yeah that's clearly Windows/Parallels' fault. Developers not using SSDs is like a race car driver using an Impala off the car lot for a race.

Oklahoma has an extraordinarily high rate of uninsured drivers. The tree that crushed my car was a result of an ice storm. We get those frequently as well. (My entire lot is covered in trees.)

I'm moved back to Oklahoma. The only thing that went up was my car insurance. I thought it was nonsense, but 3 hail storms, crushed car (tree limbs), tornado and 2 hit and run drivers (likely uninsured). I can see why. I pay about 200

Come on man, everyone knows solid state amps > shitty 1950s tube amps! ;-) Sarcasm aside, the modeling amp I'm looking at getting has a tube in it (Vox VT40X, 12AX7). I love my JVM410H but it's nice to not share with the entire

I live in a world full of people that love talking about doing things, but very few of them actually do anything. This is how I moved to SF. Talked about doing a startup with friends. Move out there and they'd all rather smoke weed and
