The method limit is the more constraining one. Also, Google eventually lifted this limit on newer versions of Android because other apps were running into the same issue. It's not just FB :)

You seem to be reading a lot into what I wrote. I never said anything about a "character defect", or that the problem is easy to solve. I'm saying that easy or hard, we do have agency. In particular, I disagree with these t

Phones have much larger batteries and pack far more functionality into a small space than a regular watch. Hard to see how the constraints are comparable.

There's always non-specialist work to go around, even on specialist teams like those working on compilers. Build system integration & profile gathering for instance. Some teams will be happy to start you off on that while you ramp

You can acknowledge your preferences without making them your identity, though. E.g. you can admit to yourself that you are attracted to a variety of genders without thinking of yourself as being queer.

LLD's Mach-O backend is still in development. We'll definitely benchmark it against zld when it's ready. I think we can be little a bit faster...

A lot of the complexity stems from supporting multiple platforms/versions/optimizations/build configs, though. ld64/zld supports 300+ CLI flags... Also, LLD in trunk can link for Apple Silicon too :)
