UWP does have some neat new stuff, but they didn't have to ignore the desktop like they obviously did. Desktop is a second-class citizen in UWP.

UWP apps can run on desktop, mobile even consoles. Windows Mobile is dead, so UWP is really just for desktops and Xbox (and Hololens, but no one cares). How many apps are going to be used on both desktops and Xbox? Maybe some trivial ones

I don't see any reason why Go would encourage large files. A Go package consists of every Go source file in a directory. You can use as many or as few files as you want per package.

Just because you have a Makefile in your repository, it doesn't mean the package(s) aren't `go get`-able. As long as the package can be built with `go install`/`go build` it should be fine.

Please excuse this off-topic comment, but the webpage is severely dysfunctional. Unless JavaScript is enabled in the browser, the page will just display a loading screen. All the content is right there in the HTML and it would be perfectly

I never said that. I just provided facts to back up evook's claim that "you can't compare Crimea with western Europe. Crimea was mostly Russian to begin with". Even if you look at the 1897 census, it was 33 % Russian.
