Gait analysis has been around for awhile. I guess this technique just makes it even easier. What's crazy to think about is Gait Analysis from orbit https://www.schneier.com/blog/archives/2008/09/gait

I think I first blogged in the early 2000's with Blog Spot (which became Blogger). It was great.

So if it's a ticketed event (i.e. you can't enter without a ticket), would eventbrite need to buy a ticket to access the event to record it?

This would make a great AskHN. It would be interesting to know if anyone on HN in their early 20s or lower were first introduced to software development via scratch or some other means.

Sounds similar to what SafetyCulture[1] do. It's a great idea and good to see this space opening up. [1] https://www.safetyculture.com.au/

Great advice here. Agree on a process. Do it slowly. I work with a lot of legacy code and have felt overwhelmed at times by all the different coding styles that have been used through the code base and not know when to refactor or simply cl

I try to cut pig products out of my diet because I can't kick this comment someone said to me once, "Pigs. As close to eating humans as you'll get".

With you on this one. I have had a similar experience with a semi-famous scientist that I used to looked up to and admired. They made some completely incorrect personal assumptions about me and I was left feeling upset and depressed about i

I have a new product. It's called FlockOff. Basically it is a laser connected to a battery connected to a solar panel that shoot a high intensity beam of (UV? IR?) light directly at the Flock 24/7. Also available is the FlockOff M

Similar boat to everyone else. Have had an FB account for ages. But gradually used it less as opposed to more. Barely use it at all now. Social Media has just never really my bag. I don't really see the value in deleting it as I don&#x

Where I work we have a custom made system that was inspired by Yahoo Pipes. We are in the slow process of rewriting it. Also this reminds me of and IoT solution I was shown recently. https://nodered.org/

Seriously though. Next step would be to force people to install locks that have a master key that only intelligence services have and can only use for good reasons. If you're ok with encryption back doors you should also be ok with gov

The Talos Principle. It rewards divergent thinking. Probably has the most easter eggs I've seen in any game. Great story as well. I believe a sequel is also in the works.

A better money spinner would be to take the cryptolocker approach. Engineer a relatively benign gene edit that makes life a little more annoying for someone and offer to send them the fix for 1 BTC. And actually deliver on the promise. But
