It’s a catchy headline but I also am not convinced they ultimately are. Certainly some of risky bets in the lot but most of what has been reported on is deals with ultimately cash. Compared to say the dot com bubble where lots of financing

That Gemma release is what opened my eyes. Even downloading the models on my iPhone was shocking. It reminded me when folks would put Wikipedia on a CD or something similar. Obviously does not compare to a leading model but it’s impressive

Nobody can answer this. It simple depends on each setup. Some panels will get incredibly dirty quick like those in the south west where there may be a lack of rain and lots of dust but in other regions you may never need to.

Time will tell but that feels foolish. MSFT is a terrible product company (look at copilot) but what they sell is a safe decision which is one of the most important factors for enterprise software. Nobody is close to replacing that.

Why use suicidal hyperbole. It’s low class along with the language. I don’t know if what you stated is enough evidence to prove much of anything either. Just because building housing is cheap and quick in Japan does not mean it needs to be

I would fear it’s too little too late. If the concern was the frequency and utilization of resources from agents coding that would have been the instant and fair fix. As it stand it’s a statement about AI usage which is fine but I think the

How is that fair or odd? I don’t want to pop up anime furry girls while I am using a service? Not sure why you think or suggest I am obsessed with it just a choice. Odd comment to make. It’s a choice to not use it but also a choice the folk

I don’t object to anime or furry art. I just think shared infrastructure serving a broad technical audience is better off staying visually neutral. Once branding starts signaling subcultures, the discussion too often shifts from the softwar

I get tired of it because it just becomes a tit for tat war and you end up with these extremely polarized communities. Codeberg is not for me, I could never get over them keeping the anubis anime girls on, but it would be nice if open sourc

It could absolutely harm their long term value but keep in mind Alphabet and the other hyperscalers are generally flush with cash. Is this a lot of debt? Absolutely but the businesses are generating a lot of cash too.

Nothing new. It was not great 10+ years ago. I always found NYC to be a much more fun city in that regard. The Bay Area folks always had nothing better to talk about except work.

Been a user since forever too but for the past few years I just don’t recall seeing any ads on a day to day basis. Regardless it runs much better for me than the only alternative.

It’s not a terrible price for a unified device that will just work with your steam library. You could save a few hundred building your own but it will be a larger form factor and take a little more messing with to run.
