You might find that you are in the minority though. Nothing wrong with this at all but apple makes some of the best selling products in the market place and that has largely been because of Tim Cook.

Embarrassing post by leadership. I was surprised how quickly they immediately jumped into Railway and Cursor failures. I like living on the edge but I would never give an agent access to the prod DB.

1) Do you feel weird asking a question like this? What constructive benefit does it add to any dialogue? Sometimes it’s helpful to ask oneself what’s the benefit of an answer. I cannot think of any for your question and the way you worded i

I never buy these examples. Being a good engineer is more than purely resource optimization. I can think of many times over my career where resource optimization mattered but it’s not always a valuable undertaking.

Ahh yes I forgot on that. Still seemed like not much of any impact, blowing smoke.

Google was already an investor in Anthropic but I don’t think they are truly competitors in this space.

Was there ever anything more than a tweet from the secretary of defense? That holds no weight.

Is the simpler explanation that Alpha was already an investor and Anthropic has been making strides in their business model?

They already had a non trivial stake in Anthropic though?

Right those are niches like hobby farms. There is a market but it has a pretty distinct shape. The broader point was a machine like this is not changing farming.

I don’t recall exactly wha the Trump admin has changed but I know there have been changes on emission requirements. The way I understood this is historically all equipment with diesel motors have had pretty strict requirements for emissions

My bet would be there will be a niche for these tractors at hobby farms but the reality is outside of niche goods and hobby farms, farming is about scale and the machines that companies like JD sell help a lot. Sure the tech is locked down

While there definitely is a healthy dose of trivializing work I think once you scratch the surface the real messaging is that we can automate or optimize these parts of a current workflow to open work for higher value tasks to folks.

It’s a terrible article. They are angry on spending $687 a day for DDb writes when they company was doing billions in revenue. It’s silly and they have a grounded truth on how much systems cost at scale.

I have a hard time following the thesis. I know Uber is famous for overbuilding in house but this example does not feel defensible. 2020 revenue was $11bn. 2024 revenue is $44bn. $8mm is not very material in the grand scheme. Could it be op

With the recent pushes into tools like Cowork/Claude Code for business users that’s not the reality I am seeing. We still have a long way to go to figure out the full value potential but it’s already at a point where there is a lot of

I am not sure how grounded this is in reality. Fortune 500s that were not already testing the waters with companies like Anthropic are rushing to figure out governance and how to use these tools across their orgs. Has there been a ton of hy

Nobody is going to any lengths. This is an old article without any real reporting. This hit the meme cycle over a year ago. Tesla still rates high on safety from different agencies. I have no feeling about weather it’s true or not. Just tir

Sure but how does this legislation help that? Not to mention that would mean labor is going to be a lot cheaper so the largest cost may be the battery itself. That $60 would come down.

Batteries are generally a cheap fix from third party stores. If you wanted to keep the phone why not spend the small dollars and just replace the battery?

I am simply not a fan of this type of legislation. It reminds me of CA bullet button. I also don’t quite understand the purpose. Official retail cost from Apple in the US ~$120. Third-party you can usually get it around $60. Sure the batter

They don’t, these are the anti-Tesla folks. No level of reasoning is available for discussions like this. I don’t like Elon but I also don’t think fiction and misleading stats serve anyone.

You’re missing the obvious explanation here. Driver profile. You could have the safest car around but if it’s being driven by unsafe drivers it will lead to higher accidents and fatalities.

What does your commentary have anything to do with the thread? I don’t think it matters one way or another what Americans think. Edit: I see your post history and it makes sense now.
