Or alternatively there is simply a huge demand for compute and this is helping them fill a short-term need. Keep in mind if you saw in the article there is a 90-day cancellation clause. This is a nothing burger.

I think you pierced the hearts of Elon haters/fan boys and are getting downvoted. Absolutely agree with your statement. Most top comments are just upvoted from the hivemind. Elon topics are always the worst because nobody even uses cri

Sadly you are absolutely correct. The quality has nosedived in the past 1-2 years. I am not sure the exact cause but one of the things I noticed is a massive uptick in users who have insane post counts with sub 1-2 year history. Breaking th

I have a 2.5Gbps connection, costs me something around $75/month. I would never consider going less. It is about peak not sustained use for me. If I am downloading something I don't want to sit around and wait for it.

+1. The coding model was fine and it was fast but the fact that it was free was a massive boost.

No you provided examples with but statements and a few of the examples are private close ended funds.

Fair enough, but courts tend to apply a slightly higher evidentiary standard than thermodynamics. ;)

No you’re just assuming what I am asking. You have proven my point so thank you. No examples and lots of buts and exceptions. We are probably talking around each other to some degree but that’s ok!

Time will tell if it’s a ponzi or not. I am not fully convinced but it will be interesting to see, the family dynamic is always a bit suspicious and especially how they were at the end of a rope post Covid.

Good for the SP500 but I don’t think it’s true that indexes need to be slow moving. They can serve any purpose! Comparatively I think it makes sense Nasdaq100 would want to include it earlier. Not all indexes need to be slow moving or repre

The latter has not been proven and the former is pretty normal for business. We will see how it plays out in the court and markets.

There are so many indexes these days and they all have different angles. I don’t see this as being less principled and more it’s the nasdaq 100.

This reads less like an observation about AI and more like someone who thinks very highly of their own judgment and coding ability. Over the years I’ve worked with a few engineers who talked this way. Ironically, they often ended up being a

Are we arguing if ribbon shortcuts are not a core function?? I don’t know why we are even going down this road but… for any user that has moderate level of use in excel, the keyboard shortcuts are used so heavily that they absolutely become

Sure if you are a basic user it’s no issue. Basic being someone using 1% of the feature set. The moment you start developing any skills in office there is an actual difference in the product. Like I already said, MacOS did not have ribbon s

Lack of parity. It’s getting better but my classic example is ribbon shortcuts for Excel. They did not exist until something like 6 months ago.

Part of that reason is Microsoft office is a third class citizen on macOS. Edit: Not sure why this would get downvoted. Weird. It absolutely lags behind windows version of the products by years. Excel did not get ribbon key shortcuts until

Sounds like a bad idea. Adopt the future or get out of the way. This is dock workers all over again. Massive amounts of automation could be had but instead we have dock unions that only serve to increase costs.

Whataboutism is a weak argument. China is an equal player on the world stage when it comes to propensity to harm. From the many human rights violations over the years, how they orchestrated the takeover of Hong Kong, frequent border dispute
