Was at Argo and left latitude somewhat recently. You are spot on, most of Argo leadership is gone, most of the autonomy folks got picked up by either VW or Ford Latitude.

That is most definitely not it, these vehicles have localization modules that rely on lidar point cloud matching, gps is generally only used for bootstrapping that process but is technically not even needed.

Apple sells the iPhone though. You can think of this as a simple transaction where Apple is profiting off of the device sales and the app developers are providing a reason for customers to buy those devices.

Everytime I have to deal with multiple versions of CUDA on Linux I feel like poking my eyes out. I get that supporting developer libraries that have to interact with hardware is hard but come on...
