It is a great example of a bigger open-source Meteor apps in a wild along-side with Telescope ( http://www.telesc.pe/ ) which is also well documented and is extensible.

They are different in purpose and features. If anything, Meteor would use Node-Webkit to assist building desktop apps, the same way Meteor is using Phonegap to build mobile apps.

WAMP came up on Meteor's mailing list some time ago. One would compare it with Meteor's own pub/sub and rpc protocol called DDP ( https://www.meteor.com/ddp ). DDP has clients in Objective-C, Java, Python and s

Same people who shame other's work for not being modular enough for their taste, would worship a one-line module[0] that is modular down to every subroutine. [0]: https://github.com/blakeembrey/is-upper-case/b

It might not be a replacement for ag today but it is 500 lines of C++ code w/o dependencies. Sounds like a great resource to learn from for people like me :P

This doesn't look like a very well organized or generalized code. It reminds me of my own repo I had in school for TopCoder competitions: https://github.com/Slava/competitiveProgramming/tree/master/.

Looks like it has a dependency on Redis and its pub-sub? My speculation: I didn't dig much into code but if Swampdragon relies on Redis pub-sub to notice when a result of a query might change and then refetches the query and diffs th

From skimming the presentation it looks like a project similar to Meteor's Minimongo and Miniredis ( https://www.meteor.com/mini-databases ) used for browser caches. Minimongo, for example, implements a great majority of

I and another Core Dev Justin SB worked on the Redis support for a month: https://atmospherejs.com/slava/redis-livedata It has seamless support for hashes and strings, miniredis, latency compensation, user input valida

The logic runs on the client only for optimistic UI changes (getting to the right state and displaying the right data w/o waiting for a server to reply). In Meteor this is called "latency compensation" and you can read more a

[I work at Meteor and contributed to the MongoDB realtime driver] Scaling low-latency data synchronization is a challenge for scalability for sure! We are gradually building better and better drivers with persistence to MongoDB. The scalabi

Appcache is a completely different feature that existed in Meteor long long time ago. The new feature that works in Phonegap integration is storing the application data in App's local storage (not browser's). Not only these files

Very interesting! I am interested in how data synchronization works. What data stores does the ORM currently support (my guess is mongodb so far)? How was it implemented? Would it work with multiple servers? I am not proficient in Ruby code

I didn't know that! It looked like a carefully prescripted game feature, but decompiler and real assembly make it even more interesting. :) (I already bought the game)

I have never heard of it but watching videos it seems to be a puzzle game with an interesting game mechanics: you can "change the code game is executing" right inside the game.

Looks like you are fetching only first 25 branches or so? The project I work on has a lot of unmerged branches (some of them are old experiments nobody deletes) and `master` is not even in the list :)

You can make your choice! The problem for a lot of people: you need to write a real-time adapter if you want it to be efficient and performant. We have implemented Redis adapter, for example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=

You will be surprised, but I believe it can be hard for a lot of people who come from the webdev background. When I just started with Cordova, I went to a HTML5DEVCONF talk where the speaker tried to install (just install) Cordova in a 20m
