Dev at HS, here. For our launch we prioritized the top SDKs our community requested. Those SDKs were Java, Ruby, PHP and Python. We know there are a lot of requests for a NodeJS SDK and are looking into how it will fit into a future release

Elastic beanstalk uses auto scaling groups which support as-put-scheduled-update-group-action in the cli or http://docs.aws.amazon.com/AutoScaling/latest/APIReference/A... to set time-based scaling.

Packer really belongs in that list, or will soon be a bigger part of it, imo. Packer is another HashiCorp (vagrant) product and in the same way vagrant lets you use your config mgmt to launch and provision a vm, packer lets you use your con

This just introduces additional tools/products to the stack, but you can use Ansible with the Netflix OSS stack, such that Ansible provisions your AMIs and Asgard manages auto-scaling and deployment (with very fine-grained control).

Supervised users are definitely awesome for kids, but I'm also planning to try it out as a replacement for my current /etc/hosts hack for keeping away from time-sucking sites.

+1 My public stuff all goes to github, and my private repos are all on BitBucket; virtually no cost to me that way and I use each service as it's promoted (imo).

This is a great update, a few concerns I have: 1. The ever popular: logo link on your blog should go to www.lob.com 2. Is there are reason all of these values can't be loaded on the page? I don't know if this is load related, but

Use Asgard from NetflixOSS ( https://github.com/Netflix/asgard ). Shameless project plug: for anyone using Hubot, easily get Asgard up and running, then interface with Asgard via Hubot ( https://github.com/

I'd say it's substantially different from hosting your own Piwik, OWA, or even something like snowplow - where you could elect to avoid IP storage. That said, those all entail a lot of work and/or additional cost. You're
