You could just use plain libvirt/KVM, virt-manager works well enough and can be used to manage remote libvirt hypervisors too. In previous company we pretty much went from Proxmox to bare tools once we got the hang of it.

I think that heavily depend on severity of the fuckup. If you comitted a bug bringing the whole site down at 16:50 then went "welp, I won't fix it in 10 minutes, sucks to be on ops team today!", your login wouldn't work

It's pretty much for this https://www.youtube.com/shorts/vC9qXnc5MuA Althought I can't imagine someone actually using it that way... The keyboard is apparently detachable so it can be used as a tablet, which

I use proper IDE for near everything people say tmux makes possible but I still use tmux for various stuff, it's just a very useful tool. Only one issue I had is that compared to screen default shortcuts are absolutely fucking awful

visually the classical try-catch makes error handling right there more verbose and less readable. I far prefer Rust-like passing result with maybe adding context to the error along the way than try-catch block at every step of long process

That's... weird one. Like, why bother even commiting it to memory if it will be out of date?

Hell, Ubuntu builds it's "stable" release from Debian's testing. Maybe just call it "next" instead of testing ?

Same with my pro-trek, aside from not working all that great indoors for sync. Apparently Garmin have some Smartwatch that actually got low enough to also be pretty much constantly on Solar only power but after owning original Pebble I ki

I also remember their NTP server being near-continously unreliable and having to change the ntp sync server on every install. I wonder if that's still an issue

Also show up in other series, Protreks have it for example. Althought mine is not great indoors and even outdoors needs a bit of finangling to start the sync

In case of buttons because of customer backlash many went back, like Honda.

Why you think manufacturers went into touch surfaces in cars much to dissatisfaction (that eventually caused some to back up) of customers? Every button needs a bit of plastic moulded, a (good quality) button, backlight, often LED to signal

Have you...used them ? My Protrek basically doesn't sync if I'm at home, and as it tries to start sync after midnight the auto sync near-never works. I installed DCF77-emulator app on phone to get around it. My radio-synced clock

That's not exactly a hard rule, just stuff maintainers do because it is far easier to still have normal flow of unstable -> testing for the freeze period, and keeping 2 ("actual unstable" + "unstable on the way to the

Well, you might think that if you know nothing about Debian. I recently was debugging kernel bug and to check whether it still happens in latest mainline I just... installed package directly from Debian repos.

Certainly first that actually worked well. My current desktop was installed in 2007 and still just dist-upgraded to the current. That of course if packages are done well, but Debian organization process so far have been very good on quality
