No, they're primarily picking fights with individuals and systematically distracting everyone from the actual corruption of monied interests. Every so-called ethics issue that GamerGate has highlighted has been a hugely overblown misin

I'm still not sure the bookstore is the best place to go for grammar enforcement, rather than suggesting he hire an editor. But Amazon's foray into supporting hands-off self-publishing is at war with their need to have a minimum

Except that the year is based on the solar orbit, which has some quite obvious effects via the axial tilt causing seasons. The month is based on the lunar orbits, which are a bit more arbitrary now and less important with an urban rather th

Plus a film production is often trying to balance things like being able to make changes if the director requests a tweak. Much faster to do when the director is the VFX artist!

Interesting. I knew VS had been working toward features like that; I wasn't aware they'd come as far as they have. Though from my poking around there appear to be some limitations: no redefining lambdas in a live session, for exam

I suspect they'd have to rewrite Visual Studio into ClojureScript or similar if they went that route. Which would certainly be interesting . Though I'd certainly be all in favor of inline eval and live coding in VS!

Also note that we don't know yet if the NK-33/AJ-26 engine was the cause of failure. Sometimes the most visible possibility wasn't the original cause of the problem.

Building a new engine is, quite literally, rocket science. On the plus side, we know the problems can be solved, because we've done it before. On the minus side, a lot of that knowledge has been lost and needs to be recreated or redesi

No, in this case part of the rocket itself was decades old. Orbital used AJ-26 engines for the first stage, which are refurbished NK-33 engines originally built for the Soviet moon program. [1] [1] http://en.wikipedia.org/
