I freelance from Upstate NY, my office is in my Basement. My clients are mostly in NYC and SF. My favorite commute was when I lived in SF and worked about a mile from the office. I used to ride my bike everyday, some how it felt like a dow

For me it's all about how you frame the question of why you're building things. The first tune I built something it wasn't with a big vision to be the next Facebook (Facebook didn't exist then actually :)) but it was som

Never really had a problem with shipping things, guess I'm pretty thick skinned, but I try and remember that feedback, good or bad is better than building in a vacuum.

I got talked into a NYE hackathon, and we built a way to see a Dribbble users top shots for 2016. Inspired by the best of nine sites for Intagram, we thought it was be interesting to see what was popular in the design community with a tool

I was surprised there wasn't a list of Publications available on Medium, so I decided to build one! Just passed over 300 Publications. The list is ordered by the number of followers, and I'm working on adding additional sorting&#x

Thanks Dan. Great feedback, and thanks for understanding about the timeouts, always fun times being on HN and PH at the same time ! We focused on making it easy to build the initial list and share it with friends, but for die hard music fan

Sorry we're just finishing up the MVP and the polish isn't quite there yet, I've added the link you suggested and made the logo a link back to the homepage. Temporary fixes until we can make something better for the long term

I wanted an easy way to find all the movie reviews on YouTube, and couldn't find anything, so I built it. Building up the database now and with the help of others, we'll get all the reviews in there, and easy to find.

I recently got a call from the CEO of a company that I worked for from 2000-2003, asking if I could help upgrade some code I wrote that was still in production.

Most web apps are not very challenging to build until you start thinking about scale. Twitter for 100 users is easy Twitter for 1,000,000 users is much more challenging.

Very happy to launch our MVP for Botlist. We hope someday it will become a fully fledged store, but for now we're working towards building a complete directory of bots available on every platform.

Would love to do that, figured this would be a good first step to see if there was enough interest in something like this. If the websites get enough traffic, will expand the offering :)
