Seems like the body and panels are 3D printed but no words on the engine. I believe 3D printing would allow entirely new types of engines which couldn't be assembled from separately manufactured parts.

Just looked a little at the documentation. It seems like its an engine for stream processing. Think of it of data mining up front. You figure out what information you want and collect it as the data comes in instead of storing all the data

The comments about Portland OR really remind me of my own experience with spending time there. It really was the first time I was visiting a place and think "I'd really like to live here!". What really sold me was the quality of the food a

Saying "by next year" and "may have already won the developers battle" in the same paragraph really flags this as wishful marketing. Plus there is a lot more to wooing developers than just toolkits. But Qt is still something I enjoy using.

The title was promising but I found the point of the post moot. The title made me think about the fact that a large segment of the market tends to categorize developers on the tools they use rather than the things they build.

Sadly I have often seen the type of people mentioned in the article as the one considered "entrepreneurs" and are often the ones saying we need more entrepreneurs. When I was a teen, its all I saw and developed a strong aversion with all th

You complain about educated people just wanting a job instead of striking it on their own and in the same post scoff liberal majors because they can't get a job out of college. What is the point? In many cases education requires far more re

The Mac I have is in the living room for family use so I have not "worked" a lot on it. I didn't use much of the default tools and relied more on macports for unix stuff. I was asking because I am considering a Mac to replace the windows la

I agree that it can be a competitive advantage but it is rarely because of the technology itself, it is because of the change in business it enables. But there a lot of software used in an enterprise that is not a competitive advantage. You
