I don't agree with this article. I mean sure there's no standard but there is pandoc, and quarto, both of which fill the gaps this article claims. And I also don't write content for LLMs so I don't care whether they can

I find it hard to see how this isn't user error? Don't use company hardware and software... Problem solved.

I don't know if you've got kids, but they're like crack cocaine for young people.

Anything "smart". Can't avoid TVs unfortunately. Electric vehicles. I don't have a problem with the concept but similar to the above, you can be held hostage with a change in software. And the second hand market is a jok

I'm in an older car I feel like these modern cars are permanent high beams. Sometimes if it's real bad I high beam them to let them know what it's like. Ridiculous state of affairs. Ive been driving for over 30 years and it&#

I'm clearly not as experienced as you with powershell, but I have used both nushell and powershell and like both. I definitely prefer nushells syntax. I personally haven't come across anything that was significantly slower with nu

This article does seem to raise some serious issues with the anthropic report. I wonder if anthropic will release proof of what they claim, or whether the report was a marketing/scare-tactic push to have AI used by defender, like the a

Why would you trust any company Google, Apple, Microsoft, any company like them, to be in control of stuff that's important to you. There's really no excuse if you're talking about notes.

I don't care if this is down voted, or flagged: fuck Samsung!

I wonder how this compares to htmx, seems similar though obviously different in terms of approach. I'm getting a little jQuery feels too.

I've never really got the smart home thing, and the shit being pulled with the likes of "smart" TVs and cars has really put me off any sort of network connected device I can't control. How would you use this and ensure p

I've been using Firefox profiles for years, never had an issue with them, the UI, or how to access the functionality. Sure it wasn't immediately easy to find and use but I never really got a lot of the criticism. Coloured themes (

That situation is ridiculous, my 15 year old diesel has an extremely bare bones touchscreen radio/info dashboard. The Bluetooth, old as it is, works fine.

by ifh-hn 1y ago
This is everything that is wrong with "smart" devices. Just give me a normal radio with Bluetooth capabilities, especially if you're unwilling to support something for the reasonable life of your product.

We'll have to agree to disagree. For me, and the way I use these things, emails are formal, text/chat is informal. I've never and will never use email like a chat. If someone was attempting to use email as such with me, they&

I don't think it is specious. Email == electronic mail, if someone sent you a letter you'd not send a reaction back, you'd sent a reply letter. But companies have been trying for years to make email more like a chat app. Thre

Haha, nearly all the people willing to email me likely know I'm a dick.

Could this not be solved by setting up a file that responds to the alt-text email with something like: reaction not received, send a real email cheers.

Good effort on creating your own application. I'm not sure I would use it pay for it just on speed alone when you consider the free alternatives, especially if you consider things like nushell. Not a criticism, just honest feedback.

Some examples on the readme would be good. I checked currently use nushell as my preferred shell and it was the example code that convinced me to try it out.
