It's tragic that IBM built technology that helped enabled the death of large number of people. One thing the wikipedia page doesn't make clear was IBM aware of the atrocities? The article cites the 1933 census, but things in Germa

It's not quite like that, at least in the USA. For example, my good friend had to submit and modify his idea 3 times because the lawyers were not quite happy with the novelty of it. Documenting your idea is a bit more involved then jus

I'm not sure what's alleged about the $20/share goal. I do not know the income, off the top of my head, for STG and GTS, it's they made a profit, but revenue growth was negative. When you're trying to allocate capit

The job cuts were largely in STG and GTS and these are the divisions with the most dead weight, so while it's possible IBM cut non-dead weight jobs these cuts do not seem to be random across the board cuts.

IBM's Q4 revenue was $27.7 billion. The consulting branch, Global Technology Services brought in $9.9B of that revenue. The software group, SWG, brought in $8.1B in revenue. (IBM is only making ~33M per year on Watson right now) IBM i

"The best way to predict the future is to invent it". - Alan Kay Therefore, the obvious solution is to invent a new JS framework. To me, it looks like the Google team is committed to staying relevant based on their roadmap to 2.0

Interesting the article makes fun of Musk because of the hyperloop idea, but fails to look at SpaceX, which, to me, legitimizes Musk's grand visions. Who would have thought 20 years ago a private company would be reloading the ISS inst
