A lot of thoughtful advice here so let me just say yes, I turned my life around at 44. Went from decades of “freelancing” which was a lot more like unemployed to a series of decent jobs and growth potential. You can do it.

I had my child at 45. I recommend earlier if you can but in my case it’s been amazing.
