Go public with it. Right now you are just some random anonymous guy claiming something. This story will probably hit pretty good on miscellanous news sites; Apple gets bad press, resolves your issue, and you get, well, press. Yay!

Yerba mate is really good. Unfortunately it's not commonly accessible. I wouldn't be surprised though, considering that Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and Chile are the only countries where it's common.

I thought so. Until I had to set up a reliable, replicated and fail-over ready Postgres system. That's just not worth my time.

Sure. But what about replication and fail-over? It's pretty easy with MongoDB, but not 7 minutes, and it do involve some system administration. This is a perfect match for e.g. Heroku. With Heroku + (MongoHQ|Couch.io) you don't need to do a

It is indeed hosted on EC2, and they provide you with an internal DNS name, so you can access it via EC2's internal network, which means it's pretty damn fast.

Why is MongoDB only for big scale sites? That's just bollocks. For some systems the Mongo-way just fits better. Scale or no scale.

I heard this one before, and for all I can tell it's simply not true. What's your setup? I have tried some simple benchmarks against two apps. One with a single subclass, and another with 3 subclasses. The one with a single subclass used 22

They wrote a program that would output Japanese-sounding words with a free .com domain. Seriously.

I have never used CVS/SVN (beyond very, very basic checkin/checkout) so git was my first SCM, and looking back at the last one-and-a-half year, it has only done me good.

I have close to zero overlap between my Facebook status and Twitter updates. It's just two different social circles, if you will.

I'm 20 and living in Denmark. 4 years ago I created my first MySpace profile, a year later 95% of my friends where on MySpace. It was where it happened - we arranged shit and kept in touch and whatnot. A year-a year and a half ago the tid

Denmark is at least as crazy about biking as Amsterdam. In Copenhagen it's a major advantage to be on bicycle, specially in rush hour where you easily get from A to B 2-3-4 times faster than cars. Rain is not really a factor, Copenhagen is

Reality Check: I asked for a Safari thing to block this out. It was very, very subjective. Read it again: I didn't ask for banning it on YC, but just for personal use. Geez.
