the new system is already spliced in, but is electrically isolated. the old system can't be isolated like that so they have to physically cut the wires to it before they electrically connect the new system, which is the switch throw at

The smart man knows all of these things exist. The wise man understands when these things matter. DWDM protected waves, MPLS, etc, are all out of scope when someone does a traceroute, finds their traffic is going to Europe asks me about it,

Electricity doesn't only take the path of least resistance, it takes all paths available in inverse proportion to their resistance (impedance really.) And since the water and sewage systems are plumbing systems and not electrical sys

Something wrong with them getting out of the way of people who actually need to go somewhere to do their jobs? A office worker having to drive somewhere to look at a screen they can have at home, shouldn't be an impediment to a nurse t

Please, name a generation technology that does not need transmission capacity to get it from where it is generated to where it is needed. Even coal plants stopped being built in the middle of cities half a century ago.

I'd LOVE to see Crowdstrike do this. The last time I dealt with the specifics of this sort of validation testing for security software was a decade and from what I saw in the RCA Delta can just keep pointing out that whatever they had

Do smartphones that get sold at $100 not have chips in them? Because the article is talking about semiconductor manufacturing, and the total numbers of semiconductors purchased. Profits and monopolies are a different article.

Heat capacity just means the AC is removing the heat coming from the stone walls, as opposed to the heat from the sun shining on it.

To put that into perspective: The AC cools the house using about 3-4kW, total. The roof on the house (assuming 29N because the article is about Houston, so between 10AM and 2PM, that's a Solar irradiance of 1kW/m^2) is receiving 1
