Deep learning course is better as it uses more relevant tools. The ML course uses Matlab where as DL is in Python and Tensorflow. The ML course though is great as a precursor though.

I think jeamish makes a reasonable assumption. The 13 or so sources (it's annoying to find, see image near the bottom) that inkl.com has are often sources that are on the front page of HN. So a $15/mth subscription seems like an a

Being a craftsman is one of those never ending goals. You can always perfect them, or teach them to your kids.

I agree that that's a better solution. But in what utopia is that going to happen. It would have to be government mandate to stop all over the air updates because no single company would take the extra cost when the competition isn&#x2

Facetiousness aside, this is where I hope car crashes would get to. They should be so rare that they do make the local news. They should be so rare we can treat them like airplane crashes and investigate each case to the same degree.

In a similar way I want an assistant in my phone, but I don't want it to be internet connected either. It's going to know the most personal things about me so I want absolute discretion.

You're lonely if you have solitude but want social interaction. It's very easy to enjoy solitude if it's only temporary. If during that period you lose the friends you had, eg moving country, it can be very hard to build up c

Becoming a craftsman is not about working 24/7 either. It is the love of the craft and dedication to it to overcome problems and learn. Often this means working hard, but not in a way that burns you out.

There's a nice post somewhere I read about good reasons for blog posts. Unfortuately searching for it gets buried in snake oil. The simplest point was if you've written a long email to someone explaining a tech topic - write it up

I still love WordPress. It's one of the biggest open source projects. It's one of the few major tech companies who's CEO will post to HN. The famous 5-minute install is still by far the simplest I've seen. It has by far

People have been able to put celebrity faces on porn photos for decades. I don't see how this is significantly different. We could create a viral picture of Trump killing someone now.
