did you read the blog post? you have to actively consent in installing that plugin to use it. without plugin the sandbox is code without attack surface.

hakyll is a library and not an application, technically, as is xmonad, another famous haskell "application". pandoc is often used as library as well. the point is, that often you have one-off applications that are just a few lines

in addition to what andolanra said about view patterns there are also pattern synonyms in recent ghc, which makes this feasible.

this is getting boring. ever time a patch using no parentheses shows up there is that comment. if all your code uses that style you get used to it. feel free to show evidence of openbsd making that mistake once! (there might have been those

i'd really like to get the main board _and_ the battery board, but no display (wrong size) and no case (wrong size). i'd like to use a modded thinkpad x-series case (and keyboard) and install a better display and board!

no, haskell (ghc) has many extensions that extend hindley-milner by a great degree.

every article about db version control should mention sqitch. it's a great tool that works similar to and in conjunction with git. http://sqitch.org/

when you are writing hundreds of functions, do you do that live? i use text files and version control. psql is for tinkering around with the db when more disciplined approaches seem like overkill.

psql also has auto-complete. honestly i really like psql. have a look at its manpage for how much you can customize it to your needs!

neither the hurd nor the bsd port use the debian linux sysinit currently.

setting init=/sbin/systemd in the kernel cmdline is the recommended way, so i guess the 7.5% do count as using systemd.

ehm. no. it can just stream the output of `journalctl -f`. it can filter even better than before, because fail2ban usually does not care about everything in `auth.log`. i guess i don't see the problem.

i am using it in production (debian wheezy package, version 2.1.7-7 now) and it works pretty reliable. do you have a link to a bug report? i kind of depend on it atm, so i'd like to know its bugs.

that might not be so easy. not every cache is something like memcached or redis. a caching web proxy (like varnish) can't be warmed that easily.
