Good question. There is now a default local-only search option that has virtually no latency.

The exposed API key is temporary while a backend is setup. The IP address is not stored by Scout - will look into the OpenAI policy.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm still busy putting together the parts of this project which is why the privacy policy is barren. Scout doesn't save what you search, it's doing a direct call to a search API, but at no point is wh

Oh yeah. I was annoyed with ctrl+f and its exact spelling requirement, so I wrote an NLP based ctrl+f replacement that works pretty damn well. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/scout/hgljpodblkjj...
