I don’t know how many hours I work, but recently I saw that in the last week I was in front of a screen for almost 12 hours on average (per day)… And that’s with going out for lunch and sleeping. I wasn’t even working for a lot of those hou

Asking good questions, ones that can be studied and investigated and ones that have an impact, is hugely underrated in my opinion.

And soon quite a bit of us FE devs or any devs for that matter are nailed out anyhow, just look at the LLMs developing. Give it some time, haha.

After watching all this for a while, in order to get MVPs up and running while holding the IP and other things under control I’ve worked through RoR docs and did some projects in Django and I’d like to know more too. I’d bet on a re-emergen

So that square icon to stop generating response was actually intended? I thought it's always been some sort of a fontawesome icon never loading properly in my chats :'D

Interesting that the website is in Nuxt and the chat app is in Next. You see this tech everywhere on the web these days.

I've done what I'd describe as pair programming with GPT-4 yesterday rebuilding my blog from Ghost over to Next.js. Using tailwind CSS, we tried and worked through animations and other such tricky aspects I usually find tedius but

As of late, there's been a question I've grappled with more than I expected. Parents of small kids knowing about me doing a Master's degree and working in different countries as of late asked me for an opinion: "What wou

Among others, it helped me get a job abroad where I otherwise wouldn't have even been considered. This alone due to the lack of knowledge of the local language, and the job was in enterprise sales... I figured this out way later into t

I think typescript support was a priority aspect to be addressed for Vue 3 making it sort of a first-class citizen. The whole new composition aspect of it was to address large codebases and large-scale applications. So I understood that V3

Is it possible to add Svelte gradually for simple and small parts of a website without a compile step? It surely seems amazing and all the rave these days! Then again, the whole front-end ecosystem is moving at a pace I cannot quite follow.

In many ways I do agree with you, but by now all these front-end frameworks and libraries, including their server-side rendered counterparts (like Nuxt, Next, etc.) just keep borrowing things from each other. Regarding performance, I rememb

Yes, it can be tricky, and sometimes I too catch myself asking, "why is it designed like it is" with regards to hooks, I won't lie. But, there is something there that makes it attractive to me where it was off-putting before.

After using Vue for a long time, React felt like an unforgiving piece of cr*p. As time went on and Vue was getting its Composition API while kind of moving in the overall direction of React, I decided to try class-based components and didn’

My personal policy is not to do it unless someone asks for it. I think it’s an ok way to go about things most of the time. If I have ”skin in the game” with that text and it’s important, I try to nicely ask for a permission to edit things.
