I think you're right and i misread it. So if the mini-rewrites in silence equal relentless refactoring, that might equal a rewrite nobody ever observed, excellent.

I expected some wisdom, but that comment basically says that a rewrite either isn't needed because programmers are already excellent in the first run, or the rewrite will end with a similar shit code in paraphrase, because programmers

It doesn't make any sense to put an apostrophe on a noun just because it's genitive, this is just a recent typographical fad.

That flower's partially wrong. I disagree with the angry flowers possesive case. The apostrophe in possesive case is confusing and illogical.

'childrens' is 'more correct' because it makes the most grammatical sense. Since it's genitiv, why would you apostrophe it, add another character for what reason? Whose ball is it? The dogs ball. Whose exhaust is it

Regarding the video: The contraproductive and unnecessary use of pretty loud 'background-music' is pretty distracting and ruining this for me. It's a disregard for music and i view it also as a disregard me as a viewer, like

Learning a graphical software interface is wasted lifetime, it's like having to learn a new spoken language everytime you want to talk to someone. If however you are married to that person, it might be ok to waste some time to learn th

Since the c language is already a human readable abstraction away from the actual hardware instructions, which then again are abstractions on what actually happens on the chip with the transistors and electrons, you could argue that program

Code does not need to be run every frame. You can decide when the gui state gets refreshed, for example only redraw the interface framebuffer on interaction. The linked ocornut imgui is pretty fast however, even without framebuffering. I fo

Just some blurry knowledge mixed with ignorance (50/50), because of its platform-centricity. It's probably a bit faster than Java though.

Afaik obj c got some kind of garbage collection and is heaviliy tuned to use apple libs. Since it's so platform-centric, objc is out of the question for me. Maybe fast, but not as fast as c/c++. I would guess around java speed.

That's not necessarily a off-by-one error, but a broader problem of audio synthesis, which you can generally deal with by applying low pass filtering. For example depending on starting phase of a sinus oscillator multiplied by a simple

My original calculation was that in audio you need to deliver 44000 values per second, in graphics you need 60 - 44000/60 roughly equals to 700. That's the difference factor :) (of course the data volume per delivery and it's

So you put in the parameters into registers 'per hand' in assembly and then memcopyed some function to the right adress (using a function pointer?) to process these registers? Wow. That sounds pretty complicated. For now i just us

Getting audio hardware to behave nicely for audio is pretty nice :) The calculation for the time factor difference is simply 44100/60 which is about 733, i don't know how the 23 microseconds you got there relate to this. Your comp

I disagree with 'pretty similar' and would suggest 'challenging in completely different ways'. Graphics in a minimum 60 fps context is about 700 times less time sensitive. That's almost three magnitudes difference.

So how would you raw-structure a performance critical (audio) program that needs some flexible path for the data processing, like with a 128 sample buffer and about 3-10 choices along the processing path. Processing path should be switchabl
