Deal sites are all about achieving leads so shouldn't their MVP be a nice website with a way to show your interest by opting in? Amazon's brand will play a huge part in getting sign-ups, especially since they know our shopping habits.

I wish there was a sample newsletter to view. How is content curated? Also missing a privacy policy and T&C even though the MailChimp reference helps somewhat.

I agree with getting out of the house. For months now I've been taking my dogs on an hour walk each morning. Some days, particularly weekends, I won't want to do it, but after 10 minutes into it I feel great. This goes inline with working

Can't agree more. The thing I miss when going to the home page of a blog or QA site is finding well organized content by topic. Something manually curated by the owner(s). Content by tags does such a lousy job because it's the lowest lev

That's a good way to put it, but technology is still a very important part of any ecommerce business. Be it marketing, acquisition, fulfillment, accounting, CRM. It's just not the shiny object you see up front with Foursquare. And sure, p

Agreed. These short-term business acquisitions, while exciting to read about, are not common. Most businesses take years to build and if you're not in it for the long run you're going to get bored or bankrupt. As much as I don't like to d

Once it hits video I highly recommend watching Bobby Fischer Against the World. I'll have to read this book even though the author of the article points out that he wishes there was more meat on the early life of Bobby. In the movie, his l

I may still have my AudioGalaxy t-shirt from back in the day. Edit: High-five to jazzychad, didn't see your response.

If you're a non-coding founder your #2 should be your CTO. No one else is more important to getting your business up and running. Trust them with what you yourself don't know.

Please, please open the device up before you stop supporting it. When you sync images to the device they get resized to the native resolution. This means when you "zoom" in on a photo, it looks like crap. Why even have a zoom function?

Thanks, I was looking to re-read that again after the root post. For some reason I thought it was posted on Salon.

That seemed a bit strange to me too. For all I know, Yahoo Answer users are there because they are young, they know the Yahoo brand (maybe from their parents), and they like the cuteness of the site,

More links in the footer, mainly. A page to contact you either by form, email, or phone number. This goes a long way knowing that I have a way to contact you if I have problems. A Team or Company page would be good to learn a bit more ab

Oh, and Crate is already profitable. No worries about losing your stuff because the business tanks. That's helpful, but not a guarantee. The site seems a little too bare to trust with my credit card, though the free version sounds r

I use Evernote because it's easy to tag/organize/reorganize stuff and search is fast (desktop client). Plus it automatically syncs. Bookmarking client side for me is > web based because of speed.

This is pretty low of them. Almost as low as their 4.0 update requiring me to reboot my machine. Really now? What hooks did you need to embed this time, Evernote?
