This kind of approach can be good for getting data into the database, especially for non-trivial updates, but is not good for getting data out. The problem is if you want things like custom group-bys, sorts, joins, windowing, etc, you end u

For server calls, we just use the event dispatch system that comes with re-frame. For most such server calls, one needs to do 3 things: 1) Based on the current app-state, make a request 2) Update the app-state with a marker that this reques

At my job, I work on a ~40 KLOC Clojurescript re-frame app. It has been working very well for us, and none of the things you bring up have been an issue. In re-frame, programming with channels is pretty rare. We have it maybe 2 places in th

Airtable looks great, but seems incredibly expensive at $10-40 / user. There are a lot of situations where pricing like this makes no sense, e.g., if you want every employee to have access to your data, but most of them only check or

"Aggressive" validation seems to be a part of most libraries for helping people implement GraphQL, so I don't think this is a real issue. I'm assuming you mean stuff like max nodes, max depth, max page size, etc.
