Of course, your opinion is yours to have, but honestly, the world has moved on from USB-A for new computers/phones/peripherals. I just bought a couple of those: https://www.amazon.com/Basesailor-Thunderbolt-Convert

At least in software development, SO is/was very useful, as they provide a curated repository of Q/A where the answers follow the current state of tech. Every time I started out learning a new framework, SO would be tremendously h

I can live with a couple of songs no longer being downloadable and not resellable. I have my music "purchases" locally and can move them to a new device, back them up, etc. But with a 4k EUR bike getting bricked, I'd be very

Sad to see them go, I liked their design very much. I wasn't in the market for an e-bike yet, but I would have considered a VanMoof. However: >they can end up bricked in their basic state, since their working is tied closely to the

The problem with nuclear is that there is no cheap form factor of nuclear reactors available right here and now, it's all "in the future...". Current NPP designs have painfully high CAPEX, way more so than solar. And just sla

It's not a separate discussion, in fact it's at the core of the current problems. The original idea was to get rid of nuclear and coal and use gas as an intermediate step till renewables would be competitive. Then Merkel happened

It matters a lot. First, if demand is not there, installed capacity isn't fully utilized. Since production costs of existing renewable installations is lower than carbon-based plants, a lull in demand will automatically increase the re

Nowhere on p 25 can I find this. Maybe you mean p 27, and I don't get what argument you are trying to make. Yes, there would be more gas capacity, but for green gas.

With all due respect, renewables are not decades away, they are at a major inflection point right now. While I deplore the shuttering of Germany's NPPs, nuclear would not have been a solution to the decarbonization challenge, as the ti
