It seems to be getting a lot of hate here (where I found it) but I've been using it for over a year now. One of my developers used to drop into my mac from windows to do builds and diagnose ios issues plus spend non trivial time settin

This list is focused on videos but the search is what is beyond good, it's one of the best searches I've ever seen for content. You can literally use it as you would google. I'm assuming they transcribe their videos as well a

The discord thread linked has that and a ton of other things tried as well such as fractional scaling on gpus, disabling game features, sdl1.2compat which is newer sdl backported etc.

Steam version needs some more polish but it will come. Bought at release and on a 4k display, multi core system, top of the line gpu and more ram than I know what to do with I get a paltry mid 30s to 40s gfps and scrolling the map is a pain

This is pretty cool, I did a similar personal project that I describe here https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=28480790 . The only historical thing I log however is if a video was removed/reuploaded.

The streaming I was speaking to is from a url or network resource. I keep a directory of m3u files which is just a url inside that you can open in vlc etc. `So ffmpeg -i [url] -c copy [file-name].mp3` does the trick for now. `mpv` can do th

I came up with this specifically because of whisper. This looks nice but doesn't suit my use case as I'm "listening" to over a dozen stations at once and I also stitch the chunks together end of day in a fat wav file.

Stupid simple setup until I streamline the process some more. Just running on my pc (i7 8700k, gtx 1080) and using ffmpeg for copying the stream to disk and a simple python script that creates the chunks and transcripts.

I've been using whisper to get transcripts from my local radio stations. I know it's out of scope for the original project but I hope someone can build a streaming input around it in the future. I currently pipe in and save 10 min
