Try NetSurf, if you haven't already. It's not perfect but it's a bit faster than Dillo is. (The build process feels a little wobbly to get used to but it honestly takes 3-5 minutes to build.) I used Dillo between 209 and 2012

I came here to mention the URL too. I have a downloaded copy as well if anyone needs it. The file sha256 is b74a269131bd54a4b1ada41e28e3e14ace80e770693fa3c328b26073ea9a6e06. (I would never have thought to mention the video type, kudos.)

This is redirecting me to weibo.com/login; looks like it was pulled down by the video author or the site itself. Alternate source? A downloaded/cached copy, perhaps?

It's against Google's indexing policy to list a hit for a site a normal user would be barred access to due to paywalls etc. This means that news sites who want their content and stories indexed have to let (Referer'd) clicks

Just over a week ago I thought I'd ask why HN itself seems so incredibly fast: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=9990630 I got some pretty interesting replies (and someone from CloudFlare even checked in at one poin

Note: the article links to a poorly made video 1m35s long that describes absolutely nothing from a technical "how-to" standpoint at all. It's quite hard to describe just how much of a vacuum the video feels like to watch. ...

Ah, that's one of the things I still have an issue with, taking things personally, haha. And yeah, now you mention it I realize I forgot to point out that this was my experience and that everyone's different. Thanks for the kind w

Update: I wondered for a bit before I posted the above, about how I should word it and how much info I should share. I thought I'd go with a "post the most helpful info I've come across" approach, since I like trading hi

I think it would be a truly viable startup idea to connect app developers with "naive" people - soccer moms who simply haven't got the time to learn tech properly, 70-year-olds who've never used a smartphone, 3 year olds

This is admittedly definitely the kind of thing I'd love to see a "making of" about. Actual real devices?! I would really like to get a bit of a behind-the-scenes on how they managed that . :P

I just thought to check HN again ([mumbles something about notifications]), glad I did. I just opened all the files that are there; Readme.txt has now loaded, and I commented! :D And I was thinking something like this for the file listing (

Aw, cool :D I'm really interested to see where this goes. I just fired it back up to have another look, and I thought of a couple more ideas: - If it's not too hard, maintain a live-updated index of how many peers are available fo

I'm not a Go programmer but this looks like a very useful resource. :) The only thing I'd suggest is... with your title of "Why is X in the standard library?" I thought you were referring to X11 (from UNIX et. al.) :P

I wouldn't mind that; I just like peeking at internal admin panels and observing how much design effort a company or individual decides to put into an "industrial" software system that's only meant for internal and/

One incredibly simple-minded possibility could be to keep VirtualBox or Qemu VM disk images on a USB HDD, and suspend the VMs to the HDD to move between machines. Also, since it's better to err on the side of saying something irrelevan
