I'm in the same boat and I use okta for work and have no clue what the hell it does or why this just can't be accomplished using open source.

I agree. I once tried beyond meat by accident (some vegans were visiting and did a switcheroo on me) and it was one of the most repulsive things I had ever tasted.

Agreed with the other comments here. I couldn't stand the Ubiquiti mgmt interface for home as it needed a VM or chroot plus a database instance, etc.. When I switched to an equally spec'd Ruckus, I was blown away at the performanc

If the screen is swappable I'd really like to see a lower DPI version of 1920x1280. The Thinkpad X1C9 by comparison is 14" @ 1920x1200.

I would suggest users on UNIX-like OS's to try passwordstore.

How did you track these bit flips and how did you ultimately narrow it down to "weak" RAM?

Isn't ECC also slower than non-ECC DRAM? Also, I'm not aware of any overclockable Intel CPU/motherboard combos that even support ECC RAM.

Seconded. Would also be interested in hearing if anyone had found a reasonable font to switch to from having used terminus for many years.

I was a pfsense user for a few years up until last week. Before that I was an openwrt user. I admit it was a bit nerve-wracking knowing that I'd be losing my Internet while the transition was in progress. In the end, it only took 5-10

Thanks for the great intro. I do segregate my network using vlans now to isolate things like my printer which I don't trust and also my guest network. I also isolate my wife's devices as I don't generally trust Windows being

I'm new to OpenBSD having just replaced pfsense with it myself. I'm curious if there's any reason to warrant the use of rdomains in this seemingly simple setup?

I'm getting ready to sell my 16:9 thinkpad carbon x1 for the 16:10 nano or x1 2021. I'm OK with my 16:9 43" monitor because it's so big I get the vertical real-estate but my thinkpad feels as though it's really only

Agreed, it's funny how nearly all discussions about reasons for single threaded perf just focus on games.

I prefer sct as it's much more lightweight although it won't change automatically according to time. It's easy to map shift as keyboard shortcuts in i3/sway, etc..

Reminds me of what I considered to be the only use of Internet Explorer on Windows 95 was to download Netscape!

This may be considered blasphemy, but I continue to use i3-gaps on my 43" 4K monitor in 100% floating mode. It actually works quite well. Of course for my small displays I use tiling mode.

I use a similar setup to the author's and coupled with ctags, I don't have any problem with massive projects and lots of 3rd party libraries.

At least personally, I always considered Toshiba laptops to be the bottom of the barrel in terms of quality. I don't recall a time when thinkpad (at least before Lenovo bought them) could have been considered inferior?

Clarity on resolution/DPI is important for me as I continue to use bitmap fonts in Linux which don't scale well with HiDPI. I think the resolution+DPI on the Microsoft Surface Laptop is perfect but I would prefer to go with Lenovo

I should also mention that the developer stopped developing as s/he felt it was feature complete but there is at least one other fork that is still actively being developed (don't have the link handy as I'm traveling).

I've been playing this since 1993 and can't think of any 4X game that is as tight as this in terms of structure and playability. For those that don't know, there is an SDL re-creation that reimplements the underlying engine (
