Yeah its pretty cool its peer reviewed learning, so you help other people and it makes it easy to link up with penpals. I've been using it for 2 weeks now, pretty cheap and good.

I've heard this in quite a few places, RMS once quoted the reason we have an objective-c compiler is because people like apple to open source it to due to the architecture of gcc wouldn't let it be separate.

LOL I was thinking the same thing ;), Java is OK for web dev, but jeez frontend GUI development ;/ He didn't touch on the pure speed of an iphone app/game.

I have never once seen a real hiring manager look at these, most good candidates aren't going to be writing ones specific to your company. I'm sure its nice to be 37S.

First few jobs it can certainly help, but really once you have a couple years of experience you don't need it. I've been doing fine for the last 10 years. So latch onto a small shop and get good ;)

I'm a big fan of textmate, probably my favorite utility on the mac. While things like this and e editor(windows) help, there is still a ton of nice apps only on the mac. As for the Vi and Emacs people, I rather not spend weeks customizing m
