No it isn’t. They did a test with great specificity and got undeniable P values. Now they can refine the action and start saving people. This is a huge, huge win.

I don’t understand the message the page design is supposed to send. Hierarchical areas and buttons just look ridiculous. If it’s AI design, good for you not wasting time doing something you don’t care about, but you could have equally commu

I think there’s value in the concept of “an uninteresting amount”. When I cooked breakfast I used my stove and a pan and stuff and I put some seasoning on. Even though I enjoyed my morning routine, I’m unable to produce any fascinating triv

Is there a word for the right amount of engineering? Kind of a negative concept of not engaging in performative conceptualization. Just doing it in a way that the implementation was natural and not worth writing home about.

That would be offset by a one-time surplus of Godzilla meat.

I think you’re way off. Hate is absurd, I don’t even know him. He’s automatically being downvoted for hyping his own product on HN, although he’s certainly not plugging it too hard.

Anyone can put a blue stripe on top of a web page full of scrolling pictures that have hierarchical chat bubbles underneath, and always could. What is destroying Facebook going to do really?

True, but why wouldn’t AI write the article? No one is doing anything real for any real purpose except playing with AI here.

A flight number, I believe, is assigned to a regular round trip in general. So this is no more unusual than, say, the 42 bus arriving at the stop as the 42 bus is departing across the street.

It's supposed to be impossible to prove a negative. But it might still happen some day. We just don't know.

Okay, I had the problem going the other way. I assumed the n was a symbol on the previous number, like an f suffix in C. But even still, 2^(0.6039n) could have been rendered in a nice way stripping out the parenthesis, leaving the core text

For those who don’t have math extensions in the browser, if that is 2^0.6039, then why don’t math extensions just detect math syntax and style it directly?

What’s wrong with this idea, really? It’s redundant because you can serve HTML to requests with Apache or Ngnix or any other server on the happy path. What’s right with the idea, really? It’s exactly what the tried and true preferences of d

That’s a good point. We associate the classic UI controls with forms that are submitted by another action. Autosaving controls have a slightly different function and feel.

SMM calls for a timeout because it wants everything to be between instructions pro forma. So there’s a very long instruction on a core, but after it completes, the core does stop, right? It seems like to make this into an attack you’d have

Saying No is a skill you have to jump in and develop to get good enough at it to be responsible for others. It’s okay to say No for yourself, but keep in mind the other party may have a lot of practice saying No themselves.

I’m not sure if you mean a good look for the process or for the author but paging space is just saying “gimme a gigabyte” like saying “gimme a plate” is at a barbecue. The resources themselves aren’t being used at that point.

I would like to be assured that the author knows the difference between actual memory and setting aside paging space.

I didn't say I found no utility, it could have tons of utility, but technology changes over time. Perhaps the gentleman author could have produced a desktop Electron app or something similar running locally.

So I had to copy-paste my source code into a web site, submit, then copy-paste the text back out into my document? I'm not putting down the work the author did, but that workflow was always going to be completely obsolete at some point

You're still not quite getting it, the statement isn't that trivial. It deals with the area between totally collinear (obviously impossible to find a lonely pair) and totally non-collinear (obviously impossible not to find a lonel

First of all, the syntax is very generic and conservative. I’m extremely positive about that. It just looks like C or Typescript or Java to me and I don’t see mysterious diacritical marks. The next thing is, I need more examples. Read me do

Math is like that. But try to put any number of points in some configuration where you can't find some line with only two on it. In this diagram, you can't do an axis-aligned line with more or less than three -- but you can go dia

His statement helped me. It's not that every three points are non-collinear, it's that any three points are non-collinear. A set of points all lying on a line is the only exception; you can have every point lying on a line except
