The study isn't talking about history, it's talking about current smokers and many of the comments on the paper bring up concerns with how specific that is, and how many could have quit days before going to the hospital. I don

Seems more likely to me they're just lying about being smokers- 60% admit to being former smokers. Inpatient hospitalizations also almost all suffer from serious comorbid conditions like hypertension or diabetes, which probably causes

Lemon laws are not a very specific thing, they are wildly different between states. Not all lemon laws require disclosure, but some states require disclosure even if a lemon claim isn't actually filed but the car meets the criteria:

I mean Intel stopped making DRAM because they were soundly outcompeted. We lost the DRAM industry before we actually stopped making DRAM. Disks afaik are still made in the US, although not only in the US.

There is no such thing. You can have quiet fans, but there are no fans that block noise. It is not possible to do so; the best you can do is long baffling. An example would be central air in an apartment building: the vents are very long

Not all headphones are the same, and for higher frequency, quickly-changing sounds like voices, having some extra processing speed really helps. Better microphones and transducers also make a much larger difference than you'd think.

By the nature of the device the meshes need to be fairly exposed. They can be enameled so as not to shock you, but only barely. Any scratch, rubbing, or other wear can expose bare metal at >1 kV. That is a major fire risk; any spark i

No, not really. Soundproofing means preventing sound from entering or exiting a volume. Because of the way sound works, a quite small leak will result in quite a lot of sound entering or exiting a volume. 20 dB is a ~4x increase in percei
