Some people do try to come up with alternatives. https://flattr.com/ has been around for a while, but they're doing an overhaul of their model now, together with the company behind Adblock Plus. Here's the latest

That's the current wisdom, yes. To lose weight, it's recommended to eat many times a day (like 5-6), but limit yourself to small portions.

Thank you. Too bad it's in Chinese, but Google Translate got me the gist. An unfortunate story. Not sure why he didn't settle on GPL or AGPL, though.

Do you know what happened to RubySonar? I remember reading something about it, but now only search engines retain traces of it.

But the "correct" price is the one the investors are willing to buy at, right? Imagine that 99.98% of all investors are index funds, and there is a company BigCo that is at some point is at the top of the market. So pretty much ev

Thanks. Any (informal) opinion on the validity, according to the new ToS, of mirroring third-party F/LOSS projects on GitHub (ones distributed under GPL, MIT or BSD)? Do I need to get the permissions from each author of the work to upl

Maybe they follow the "make it worse, then make it better" approach to user experience. Even if the end design is objectively worse than the previous/current one, it will feel better compared to the intermediate versions. Tha

See this release note: https://addons.mozilla.org/ru/firefox/addon/epubreader/versi... Your mother is likely to weather the transition to WebExtensions well enough.

Both Google and Mozilla track browser usage, installed addons, etc. You can bet your posterior that if Mozilla decides that a given slice of the user base is marginal enough to have its demands ignored, Google would do that in a heartbeat.

"Calendar" looks fine to me. I see the problems with "Applications" and "AppCenter", though. Maybe the problem is just with the particular font used. See the browser window on the right side of the screenshot.

That depends on your needs. Maybe not modern AAA games. But as a counter-example, Intel® HD Graphics 530 can easily handle Half-Life 2, with power to spare.

I've looked at it, and they include a pretty useless NVIDIA Quadro instead of a video cart you could use for occasional gaming. Granted, the last 3D game I've ran on my XPS 15 was Half-Life 2, and it's pretty fast even on the
