RPi has always been a Broadcom alumni pet project with commercial interest. I am not surprised. As for the same intro to computers as the 1980s, you can give kids a trash PC and monitor running Linux for less than a whole RPi setup these da

This is a common problem I see across many things. We had a guy who spent two weeks writing a report script that collated data uploaded into S3 and wrote out another data lump into S3 after some post processing then sent this data lump to a

The whole thing is about maintaining anticipation of the next horror, which it does really well. Also it’s a complete dystopia which is always a good thing to have around as it keeps reality in check. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Also to reflec

I have worked in the defence sector on similar things and agree with the not invented here thing. At the same time it breeds tools out of necessity. My only tale on tale is that I pretty much designed and built ansible in Perl in 1999. Of c

I don’t think they’ve ever sat in a crap car either. Most of those are better. The four Teslas I’ve been in feel like I’m sitting in a bottom end Android tablet or some hospital equipment.

A friend owns a 2020 model 3. The paint job was worse than my ass end 8 year old Citroen C3 so he spent the entire value of my ass end 8 year old Citroen C3 on a ceramic coating for it. And it still looks worse. I’d be so pissed if I’d spen

That’s the one! The XR did manage to upload all the photos to iCloud when we got in range of a cell tower. Also the rear glass didn’t break, only the screen. Apple replaced the screen under AppleCare and my daughter still has the phone.

To be fair Microsoft have no accountability either. But it’s easier to tick the ISO 27001 or SOC compliance box when they pretend they have some accountability.
