His passport was revoked while he was in Hong Kong. Somehow he was allowed to board the flight to Moscow with a revoked passport, but not the flight from Moscow.

The first new attack described in last year's report was that you could DoS a machine by removing its CPU. Which, sure, is something to think about. But it's not what I think people are imagining when you say "voting machine

This isn't a remote vulnerability, btw. The attach involves picking the lock a and inserting a device to a parallel port.

I do. But a non-hacked vote tabulating machine will still do the job better than non-hacked humans. Add a high enough percentage of random hand audits of the machine but counts to ensure they're functioning correctly, and you should ge

Perhaps because counting tens of thousands of near-identical pieces of paper is exactly the sort of repetitive, robotic task we've entrusted machines to perform more accurately than humans since at least the 1940s.
