Great service and full PCI compliance. Watch out for monthly minimum and early termination fees. Not supported by any of the SaaS billing frontends yet (though Spreedly is willing to make it happen).

The irony in all this is that the company that the apparent gambit was made with is actually called "Gambit".

This sounds like a great plan, I think you will have an interesting journey! I can confirm that the absence of daily routine triggers facilitates change to let go of undesired behavior. For instance, it was way easier for me to stop smoki

I second your point, it's about running to strategies in parallel: release every six months for early adopters, but limit mainstream efforts to every to years. Which would make a lot of sense IMHO. From what I can tell, mainstream users do

Even after 13 years of living in Berlin, for the most part at locations right next to the former border, I am still amazed by the magnitude of change this city has seen. German photographer Matthias Kupfernagel took around 2500 impressive p

Heh, waiting for the post-interview phone call was a real nail-biter, we basically spent the entire evening waiting for the phone to ring. But it didn't. It didn't even occur to us that they might call our land line back home until we got t

From a European perspective, I was surprised by the fact that California is home to some of the most powerful US industries and countless wealthy individuals while at the same time, the state is broke.

Couldn't agree more. I'm looking at a number of payment processors and merchant services, and some make it extremely hard to figure out what they actually do--it's all buried in useless marketese.

This game is taking off like a rocket. I wonder whether they cap the signups at 2M/d for scalability reasons or to generate extra buzz.

I think the ability to steal each other's crops makes the game mechanics even more powerful (in comparison to FarmVille and the like). Fear of loss is an extremely strong motivator. Note how you can buy a dog to protect your farm and pay

Kudos to Ryan and Jon! When I first looked at DailyBooth, I thought: "OK, it's Twitter with pictures, so what?". It wasn't until I saw the growth and love of their user base that I realized how much potential they have. And respect to Ryan

I'd say a picture is worth a thousand words for person perception and impression formation. It takes a dozen tweets to figure out if you like someone, but only a few milliseconds of seeing his or her face. DailyBooth leverages that very w

Interesting article, I really like the idea of using location-based audience segmentation for site versioning (e.g. East Coast and West Coast edition) to account for time zone differences.

Most of the fun with Derren Brown stems from wondering what is a real effect and what is just elaborate trickery. He's taken that to a new level by often explaining in detail how the manipulation works--but then the explanation itself might

I agree. In Germany, we had an initiative called "Schulen ans Netz" (get schools online). It was all about uplink, neglecting the boxes and, above all, teaching resources. As one of my professors put it: "What are you going to do when all t

I'd like to suggest another factor that usually separates a co-founder from an employee: control. What amount of control will you give to the third guy, will he have a formal vote on core decisions?
