I think the title is a little bit misleading. The moment you can drop support for browser versions is pretty dependent on the requirements of your client, and your visitors. 7% for users with IE8 or lower is a pretty tech-savvy crowd, many

Didn't know that. That's a pretty impressive list of big software projects :) The Spotify client is really good too. It's very fast, rarely crashes on me, and strikes a nice balance between features and simplicity.

All those homework assignments are done using Wikipedia. It will be very interesting to see what will happen tomorrow when people can't look up stuff there.

Even though this is over 20 years old, many comments are still very valid. I especially like the section about short variable names and functions.

Looks really, really promising. If somebody could make a nice GUI for non-coders, this would be a pretty good replacement for lots of applications where Flash is the only choice now.

Wikipedia has loads of movie data. You can use the API to extract it, or use dbpedia.org for a more friendly view.

Right now there really isn't an 'obvious' choice for mobile development. jQuery Mobile doesn't cut it (and needs the mother library, which is really not developed for mobile). It seems you need to roll your own solutions. What i would reall

I'm really excited about being able to load jQuery as an AMD module. This means you can load jQuery with RequireJS and write nice, modular code. I highly recommend anyone doing large-scale web projects to use Require, it changed the way how

Have been using Sublime for 4 months or so and really enjoying it. It strikes the perfect balance between having enough nice features and tools to make programmer happy and getting to much in your face (like many IDE's).
