I think that reading this sentence as "lost" and "mislaid and abandoned" is not likely. I believe most people would not use comma when they're enumerating 2 categories. E.g. "banana and apple are fruits" v

WAV is the original lossless audio file. FLAC is just a compressed version of that file (think of it as .zip). MP3 is more like an edited version of the original where "extra fluff" is removed from the audio in a way that you can

As a non-native speaker, I don't think I've ever seen this expression, but one can easily guess what it means. Enumerating bits of the whole as a way to emphasize the wholeness, I think, might be common in many languages. Regardi

I believe that the difference IS obvious, but it's the "absolute" difference. The relative difference may very well not exist between the two scenarios. If I can't just go to the beach with my wife, if I can't go wa

I think a separate device isn't necessarily that bizarre. If I'm on call, I wouldn't want to now take every notification on my phone as something critical to check immediately. Just react promptly to a separate notification o

Doesn't making "repairable" things imply having to add design constraints, which would translate to increased costs of research/development/production?

Until recently I was living in Russia, and I'm happy to have moved just now despite having to pay $12,000 more in taxes. When I moved to Russia a few years ago, I was delighted to pay less tax, and dismissed the bad political situation

Another happy user of G14 here. I'm running the 2021 version with Ryzen 5900HS, 32Gb of RAM and 1440p screen. The screen is good, the laptop is quite light at ~1.6kg, the keyboard is OK too, but I tend to use an external one when at my

Does US have different rules about intersections of "equal" roads? In Europe you give way to the car to your right and that's it. In the rare case where there's a car going in every possible direction, you just honk it o

The bottom line, in my opinion, is whether you can fit the computing power you need into a certain size and budget. If you only browse reddit, you can. If you want to play new AAA games at 4k@120Hz, probably not. If it fits, and you can tak

As a single additional anecdotal data point, my body is the same way. With similar height, if I am at 150lb (around 68kg) then I have visible fat. 140 is much better.
