This explains why a friend of mine, anesthesiologist, emigrated to US about 15 years ago and now has an annual income of a million USD. While my wife, anesthesiologist, same age and experience here in EU, has less than EUR 100k.

Don't mix/confuse Erlang with Elixir - totally different kind of beasts, even if one is the child of the other.

FP (Elixir) vs OOP (C#). I used to develop in OOP (C++, C#, Java) for 15 years and I know what I am talking about: just try to read Elixir/Phoenix project and come back here with your impressions.

The tragic part that all my 'corporate' customers don't even want to hear about Elixir. For them only JS, Python, C# and Java exist in this world. Any other stack is either "unacceptable", "unsustainable",

300/1200 is too coarse for AUS10. 3000/8000 is too mild (perhaps better for finishing). I suggest 1000/3000(or 6000).

Same here, using Elixir only for personal/hobby projects. Sadly, my customers when they hear about Elixir they get scared as hell. The "song" they love includes only JS, Java, C#, or Python.

The Tika's documentation is abysmal. Maybe it is a great product but we had to scrap it because of this.

A proof/real-world example would be needed to validate your claim(s). I think the technology is promising but I don't believe in all those "advantages" that they advertise on the website.

I have a RAG built on 10000+ docs knowledge base. On vector store, of course (Qdrant - hybrid search). It work smoothly and quite reliable. I wonder how this "vectorless" engine would deal with this. Simply, I can't see this

In my RAG I use qdrant w/ Redis. Very successfully. I don't really see the use of "another memory system for LLM", perhaps I'm missing something.

Well good advice... in theory. Most of websites I use regularly are simply not "optimized" for mobile: broken features, display errors, inadequate UI, just unusable on the phone. And it's intentional: they're sabotaging

Following the article's logic, Elixir is a better fit for agents. Ideal I would say.

This Ante "pseudocode" is wonderful! It's like Haskell with Elixir's expressiveness, flavor and practicality. A Haskell for developers. Waiting for the compiler to mature. I would love to develop apps in Ante.

You are perfectly right! I would just add this, from my experience with Horizon 2020: we were working on an R&D project at the time. Applied for grant. We got €16,000, peanuts. (We needed a few hundred thousand....) My point is that th
