I've not had direct experience with it but do recall Intel covering their work with DPDK and Core pinning. I think they got something like 96% line rate on 25GbE. - https://networkbuilders.intel.com/network-technologies

Reminds me of an experimental school my grandparents had started in Australia around the Second World War. Unstructured lessons in nature and student involvement in decision making. Sadly it had to close due to lack of funding at the end of
