Yeah didn't mean literary code generation, Python's dynamic nature makes such steps unnecessary. In a way it feels kinda lispy (in a good way) to me, data is code, small DSL for working more efficiently with specific domain.

Asyncpg is amazing, I’m writing a thin dataclass-style semi-orm-layer ontop is asyncpg. Still very early but I’m considering cleaning it up and extracting it to a stand-alone library if I see any demand for it.

Browsers shouldn't be the entity deciding on address resolution, a domain system bound only to the web/httpx would be a huge leap backwards. This should be up to the os and whatever names resolution the os provides should be happi

I've been using this for a while in a hobby project, great feature which makes for neat declarative schemas. Unfortunately some tooling is choking on this, for instance datagrip crashes om introspection, but hey that's what we can

Everything can be done with the keyboard and is generally scriptable, leading to high productivity but also superior ergonomics is a big part for me. My wrist joint have a tendency to crack loudly (not sure if this is the correct English te

I haven't used Go much but I've gotten the impression that tooling is very good, it's easy to create a self-contained executable and startup time is low. All this while the language itself aims for simplicity and doesn't

Fx looks like a really nice alternative to jq. I love HTTPie for API debugging but wouldn't disregard curl which is a great and versatile tool for everything http.

It's possible to produce a self-contained executable with Python, there's multiple solutions for this it's just not a part of the core language. I agree that the situation isn't perfect in the python world but it's

Nah I saw plenty of this just before the change, seems more likely that the change was put in to reduce annoyances with multi powt tweets.

I've actually rooted an Asus router owned by a relative, this was about 5 years back so it's hopefully fixed now. Noticed some strange behavior after a mistype and tried something like `whoami` (not exactly) and got root back so t

Just thinking out loud here but the particular case of inventory of an item should be possible to decrement/increment using a PN-Counter CRDT as long as you are fine with eventual consistency. Of course there's a risk of overcommi
