Intersting, always fun to read some BSD content. One thing that bothered me though is that no bootup times are specified anywhere in the article which after all focuses on exactly this, it would be very nice to see boot time of Fakecracker

What I'm missing is a really good linter and auto-formatter for PostgreSQL or just standard SQL. Haven't found something that seems well established and well made.

I originally created this talk for the Python Pizza conference last week, I recorded a slightly longer version for YouTube. Please write if you have any feedback of thoughts :)

Same here, it's a pain when working with spreadsheets where this clears the cell, drives me nuts. Also I always turn on caps lock when using someone else's computer since I rebind esc to caps.

Wow didn’t know palm still made smartphones, I just think about early 00s PDA. But that phone looks amazing, I hope they bring it to the EU market as well. I’d prefer an iPhone but I’d consider to switch for that formfactor. Honestly though

Having it in the status bar would defeat the purpose as ill behaving actors could possibly circumvent this, having it in the hardware as a led would make this if not impossible most likely infeasible. I’ve only heard one instance where some

I've previously seen this handled quite elegantly with SET ROLE/Authorization if I recall correctly, with a rollback at the end.

I had a K6-II which I put a big heatsink and large fan on (had to ghetto mod the mounting), sawed a 120mm hole in the case just above the cpu and put another fan there. It overclocked handsomely and stable after that. I don't remember

I've been using hub heavily until last year (haven't used github much since), so I was a bit surprised to see this as news. Seems like it's basically the same thing as Hub with some updates b ut most of the flows (and a bunch

Is the interest rate that high in the US? If you negotiate with a couple of banks in Sweden you can easily get sub 1% (0.79% is what I seem to be able to get). Heck I just checked my bank and I can even get a line of credit up to 1M SEK at

Sounds a bit high but could be right considering that median is usually a fair bit lower since the extremes being up the average quite a bit. However checking this years tax tables put our monthly $3500 pre-tax salary at $2600 take home (bu

Same in Sweden, about 10k pre tax to take home 5k. I looked up median salaries for CEOs in Sweden last year which was $7600 pre-tax where only service and the industrial sector is over that, industrial is the highest with $9150 pre-tax, tha

In my world 50 isn't that old in this day and age. Most people I know at an age around 50 are healthy, active and enjoy life often even more then people in their 30s with young kids and everything else around that.

$3K net after taxes monthly is certainly high income in Sweden (almost second bracket of extra high income state tax). Most engineers here make around $3k pretax out of school. Your living wage example would be high income middle class in S
