I have exactly the same issue. Tons of backup archives nested inside each other. I have been reducing the mess manually, as I have not found a tool that would help. My approach is to use "diff -qr" between directories I know conta

One problem I have with postgres right now is that whenever I want to upgrade the cluster (say from 9.1 to 9.3) there's downtime while the cluster is upgraded. Not even vanilla replication helps, right now. I think I'd have to use

Looks like a nice idea. Here's my two cents: 1. It's a bit hard for me to tell when the GIF starts or loops, specially when I try to read the text below it. Perhaps there could be some small delay at the end, or a progress indicat

You can just check the slides here: http://talks.golang.org/2012/splash.slide I read them a couple of weeks ago when I decided to take a look at Go, and they were really helpful and eye opening to the problems it is trying to solve.

I've always associated "uva" with the university of valladolid, spain (www.uva.es). It wasn't until I read this that the letter being in english finally made sense.
