I’d like to see this adjusted by quality of life. My father has extremely poor health propped up by a terrible fatty meat heavy diet for his entire life. He’s in his 80s only thanks to medical intervention on numerous occasions and has prec

Yeah valid complaints but none of them I’ve noticed myself. It works really well for me. I suspect apple will be producing another subscription model or extension to it to support these features once they’ve proven it in production for a bi

I’m not pointing fingers at a team but they have far and wide oversight. We’re not a small customer.

Is anyone actually running .net in lambda? I spoke to someone internal at AWS and was told that there isn’t a lot of interest in it from customers. Edit: rather than individual replies, a big thank you for everyone who replied. I am going t

This is certainly a reasonable hypothesis. Tell SAS guys they have a 3 month expenses paid holiday as civilians in Eastern Europe. Job done. ”don’t get yourselves into trouble. Wink wink”

That assumes Russia has a functional army which apparently it doesn’t based on the stuff they have been posting for the last month everywhere.

Completely agree with this. On numerous occasions I let an idea out while it wasn’t developed enough to go in the right direction on its own. It turned into a shit show. Many many ideas I write down and develop. Many I throw away. But I lea

This is excellent. If you look elsewhere on the Internet you will find that most of the Russian tank crews and troops were told that they were doing an exercise and kept completely isolated "on mission" for a couple of months. The

Yes. Also a lot of the intelligence is going to be coming over the same wires from civilians using social media and agents. Keeping the internet up is a priority. Knocking an AS out here and there on the other hand for strategic reasons is

Colleagues of mine in the US work a lot more hours as well. I think our effective spending power in Europe is much better just on that point as well.

I rather liked it when employers asked about pay history because I used to lie about it. I managed to double my salary in two job jumps!

Had the same thing with HSBC. I opened another bank account and keep a spare one going all the time. Also always keep £500 rolled up in £20 notes somewhere. And make sure you don’t put all your eggs in one basket.

Not really a problem when your computer has a large UPS built into it. Desktop macs, not so good. But really isn’t the point of a journaling file system to make sure it is consistent at one guaranteed point in time, not necessarily without

I think the problem is when you add a label to a lifestyle like this it becomes an aspirational cult and ideological thing. Or something to aspire to at the very least. It is after all just a circumstance. I know many people who would class

I met my first “digital nomad” a while back. I have considerably less stuff than he does. Does that make me a digital nomad? My philosophy is merely that I hate clutter and kipple.
