We do need to walk more but it's a crappy way to lose weight. You have to put a huge number of miles in to lose a significant amount. Tracking your eating and eating less calories is the only winner really. Put it this way: Don't

Yes although I inherited something that did this once for no good reason and it made me scratch my head for several hours before I understood it properly. YMMV on that.

It’s called Amiga Denial Syndrome which is an infectious disease amongst computer enthusiasts. The sufferers of this terrible condition genuinely believe that the Amiga still is the pinnacle of computing achievement and that enlightenment c

It had some problems because they mostly didn’t test it properly. That hasn’t changed now. Hence why the edge and windows alt tab integration actually broke alt tab on windows 10 RTM for nearly 6 months.

Most people buy low end machines from Apple. They just keep volume handy. Although recently when I went to Apple store they had no stock at all here in the UK of anything. Literally emptied out.

Realistically 99% of the corporate and consumer laptops I have been party to are built to order with the right amount of RAM in and never upgraded. Those of us who actually upgrade are an insignificant minority at this point or pulling them

No it’s still MFT contention. Someone at my company independently discovered the same problem recently with git on WSL. MSFT don’t listen to or care about their customers findings from experience. That’s why canned our partner status. In th

No we don’t. 80% of the cameras out there in your statistic don’t actually exist. From what remains, 25% are dummies, 25% don’t work, 25% are potato quality and what remains are staffed by people who aren’t even paying attention. It’s a typ

I'm going to have to complain about this because in real world use these are far less of a problem than MFT contention on sub-900 byte files generated by typical unix environments. Particularly things that are lockfile heavy and VCSs e

This is actually a problem with the design of NTFS. Small files are stored in the MFT (Master File Table) which results in heavy lock contention and slowness if you're doing lots of small files which is what most people tend to do thes

No - that's a shitty USB to NVMe bridge repackaged as a hat for it. It's just pretending. I want a couple of PCIe lines on the SoC on an M2 NVMe connector. That's all.

Impressive. Now I can choose to trust my data to a shitty USB stick or a shitty no brand USB to SATA bridge... Just give me a native SATA or NVMe port.

The problem is this is a pretty bad trade-off for storage as your only storage option is an SD card for primary storage and then USB for secondary and both of those quite frankly suck terribly for reliability and stability. If someone sold

Nope. If you look at the schematics for the Pi 4 the power distribution is flawed. The USB-C 5v in is directly connected to the internal 5V rail. There is no buck-boost or power conditioning or protection past a 5v-ish TVS diode. So any I2R
