Yeah this. I’ve got three kids, my mother and (spit) my ex wife on my Apple One sub. Couple of domains and two apple fitness users, storage and Apple Music for all is a bargain.

I would never use this after being burned badly. Duplicity hits a scalability brick wall on large file volumes which consumes ridiculous amounts of CPU and RAM on the host machine and leads to irrecoverable failure where it can’t backup or

That's as German as you get. I'm sure there is a German idiom for "that's how it's always been done and the change is someone else's fault" because that's the attitude. Had that a couple of times in

The (old) DVLA web site is merely a shallow front end for the 30 year old incompetent bureaucratic triangle of carnage that hides behind it. To get a decent result on any IT project you have to fix the organisation behind it before you ev

All you need to succeed in tech are sucker investors and a sucker to buy you out. The idea is almost irrelevant.

That ten hours is a valuable part of the life experience. Discovering new things, developing skills, enjoyment are to be had if you actually go looking. I think the better way here is expanding your horizons rather than looking for a subst

This is the problem. At most it’s worth the least someone will pay for it which is almost nothing. The proportion of people who will pay for it won’t cover the operating costs of delivering the content.

Not saying anything is better than charging for posts, dealing with adverts or most of social media content. People need to get used to their content being worth what it’s really worth: nothing! Content was only worth stuff when it was scar

From UK. Can confirm. If you can’t serve as a exemplar, serve as an example. Well that’s how it feels living here anyway.

Sign up for Meetup and go and do something completely different and random outside your comfort zone, usual location and contacts. That and exercise. A walk is good enough.

This is why I buy iPhones. My mother has my old 2015 iPhone 6s. It runs latest iOS 15. Got a new battery at an apple store in under an hour mid last year. Looks like it just came out of the box. It’s over 6 years old now.

That’s fine until your entire planet runs on ARM IP made in china. China pulls the plug then we’re all in trouble. What would happen is another mutually assured destruction stalemate.

We didn’t find that. What we did find is our operational expenditure over three years tripled. So basically capital expenditure. I’m not sure how they warped that into self congratulatory success. The people complaining now complain that it

Don’t come here speaking sense against a decade of marketing! Realistically I wish someone would just write an orchestrator that runs Go processes and nginx and glues it all together.

Nearly all my friends who smoked it didn’t have any major issues until about 20 years in. YMMV also. Do not assume that short term trends apply in the long term.

Best way to look at this is to wait until you’re at least 50 and compare with your peers who used it regularly for the last 30 years or so if you didn’t. There’s a 100% correlation on what you suggest. I’m glad I didn’t bother with it at th

I tried moving to a proper dumb phone, a Nokia 105, a few years back. I found out that it’s a massive social disadvantage, very isolating and means you have to carry more crap around all the time and keep more context in your head. It’s ten
