I'm a US citizen and though I don't think you should hate people due to their government, I do think you can attribute some responsibility for the government actions to the people. If we live in a democracy, then we are responsibl

Mexico performs as you'll expect a third world country that loves football to perform, and the US performs as well as you would expect a first world country that is ambivalent to football to perform. I think the real mystery is, how co

The space launch operating loss is like 10% of the Starlink operating income. So Starlink is a cash cow!

This is clever, and also interesting in that it could help stop the steal as it happens (though of course not perfect).

This is a great post. It really sheds light to basically all the modern conflicts. Thanks.

They can, but the government can always just not buy their stuff. That's not what the government is doing here.

The pentagon had already agreed to Anthropic's terms and wants to walk back. It can always find some other supplier if it wishes to.

As I stated above, the problem is that even when I tried to pay, it was still failing under the same error. I don't mind paying for software, I hate paying for half-assed, unsupported software.

I paid or tried to for the extra billing, I followed all the instructions and still got the same error. Attempts to get help land you in that catch-all issue. Its a problem with their own systems and it's easier to role out your own al

Github should focus on getting their core offerings in shape first. I stopped using GH actions when I ran into this issue: https://github.com/orgs/community/discussions/151956#discuss... That was almost a yea

We were building on C# Godot and I think it is a second class citizen in the sense that 1) you can't export to wasm and 2) they are moving the interface to be handled by gdextension. That said, I think once you get the gist of it and u

I frankly don't understand why they keep CC proprietary. Feels to me that the key part is the model, not the harness, and they should make the harness public so the public can contribute.

Yes, this article was one of the best articles in the last few years. And to this day I think about it. It has that property of good writing that lingers with you way after you read it. Can't wait to read the book!

Yes, I think this makes sense. I think if you are paying by token w/ an API key, then you're good to go, but if you're hijacking their login system then that's a different story.

Apply to the research labs of the big tech companies. Both aspects will be valued. It may be harder if you want to do only earth sciences, but if you're open to many areas of research, then the FAANGs will probably take you.
