I disagree. If that was the case, pgBouncer wouldn't need to exist. The problem of resource usage for many connections is real.

That's my observation too. And I have been trying to improve the framework and abstractions/types to reduce the lines of code required for LLMs to create features in my web app. Did the LLM really needed to spit 1k lines for this

Apple doesn't allow communicating that to the user and neither price differentiation to compensate their fees.

I too am weary of VC incentives but: 1) It's MIT licensed. Including the test suite which is something lacking in SQLite: https://github.com/tursodatabase/turso 2) They have a paid cloud option to drive income fro

I'm not whom you asked. But it's a resonable association for some cases. But I understand that it would have been better to ask and not associate because it's a fraction of the cases.

I highly doubt Apple convergence is going to happen. A fully capable iPad would mean less sales of MacBook Air and so on. An iPhone with official docking Desktop UI also never going to happen. Same story.

I've been using Xfce as a daily driver in one machine for about a decade now. Great to know there's work on the wayland support front. Also, writing it in Rust should help bring more contributors to the project. If you use Xfce I

Be careful. During consulting I ran into similar magnitude of writes for a mostly CRUD workload. They had huge problems with VACUUM at high tps. Basically the database never had space to breath and cleanup.

This is why I never use these IANA-reserved domains like .test, .example, .invalid, .localhost. I always make up some impossible domains like domain.tmptest Otherwise you're one DNS "misconfiguration" away from sending dev lo

Yep. I used to have a ton of problems with Docker in Windows. It has been a year without problems since I enabled WSL2 engine for Docker. Honestly they should make the WSL2 Docker engine mandatory because otherwise things barely work.

From what I understand they basically couldn't scale writes in PostgreSQL to their needs and had to offload what they could to Azure's NoSQL database. I wonder, is there another popular OLTP database solution that does this better
