Wouldn't mind an invite myself. While I was wandering the site I thought I had a break through idea only to discover that such a thing already existed. What I wanted was the pushd (dos command---dating myself) Then I realized that if I only

I remember articles asking for this in the 80's. Shame no one listened. Guess we were all to busy programming to worry much about what the IDE (if there was one) could be doing. Here is an interesting example http://www.sorting-algorithms.

Perhaps as a certified Old Grouch(tm) I'm merely being paranoid in that I use a three step approach to this problem: 1. local project; 2. backup project to thumb drive; and 3. backup project to the cloud. Of course there is a reverse approa

Lots of iconic material this weekend---enough to make me start thinking about how to use them in my apps. Particularly with the addition of color! Might have to give it a go just to test things out. Currently I use Unicode as though it were

While I'm not truly clear on what gittip does, I applaud the message from the guy in charge. I like the approach and the intent---and above all the open-ness. Curiously that is combined with a sensible amount of 'quiet' with reference to ex

Might be nice if there were some shapes available either on the menu or on the tool bar to the left. Arc, circle, box, rectangle, all come to mind. Then the ability to scale and instance of same would be quite handy. First thoughts...

Unlike some, I see no problem with this being on the front page. That said, I do have a question, why is the '10' smaller than the other numbers? This seems to be the same with the cards you forked.

Err---that would be Marion Zimmer Bradley (see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marion_Zimmer_Bradley ), not Lovecraft. It's possible she got it from "The King in Yellow" usually referred to as 'The Yellow Book', but not know for sure. See:

Having used PC-Lint almost all the way back to it's origins, I can testify to just how scary it is to run this on your code. Code you wrote as well as code written by teammates. In self defense, you HAVE to spend time tuning the system in t

To hell with the suggested three strikes nonsense. I would prefer the more draconian solution: 10k fine for every instance of bogus takedown. Money going to owner of the site in question.

Since to my knowledge Scheme has been replaced with Racket, is this blog out of date or is he just holding on to the old name. In any event, I've not had any problems with the existing approach and don't see quite why this 'change' is neede
